Class Description
The Department of Community Medicine Was Established In The Year 2001.
The Objective
The Objective of community medicine is to impart and develop community aspect related to diseases and health related events among the students.
Curricular Aspects
Community Medicine Is the Subject of Fourth year B.H.M.S. It includes theory lectures, indoor Practical and field visits. The Family Study is carried out under the programme. called Domiciliary Health care System [DHCS] – Under this programme students adopt the families for promoting heath of people, Preventing Diseases and protecting health of people. It provides opportunity for community learning among students. During The Internship, Interns Are Deputed In the Department Of Community Medicine.
Teaching-Learning and Evaluation

Orientation of Subject
This Subject is a study of health and disease in the population of defined communities in order to identify their health needs. It involves planning implementation and evaluation of health programs to effectively meet the needs of community. Community medicine provides comprehensive health services ranging from preventive, curative, to rehabilitative services.
